Intended Use
Your HEPPA is an advanced multi-technology air cleaning device which is used to clean and purify air in dry indoor environments with significant levels of particulates, chemicals and biologicals such as smoking rooms. Its multi-technological edge allows actions against a vast multitude of contaminants encountered indoors and also acts to freshen and promotes a better feeling of wellness.

If your model includes the enterprise-grade DSP technology with plasma, selecting it further energizes the air to plasma state which extend the function of the air purifier as the purifying plasma circulates within the room to actively deodorize, kill germs and viruses, break down VOCs and other potentially harmful fumes and gases, purify and freshen the air. As its cleaning action takes place outside the unit and works in both the air and on surfaces, the effect of the air purifier is enhanced several fold and serves more fully a complete air purifier for indoor environments.

Inspection and Repairs
• Before use, check the appliance for damaged or defective parts (e.g. switches, fan, power cord) and any other conditions (e.g. choked fan filter) that may affect its operation.
• Do not use the appliance if any part is damaged or defective such that normal operation is affected.
• Have any damaged or defective part repaired or replaced by an authorized Service Agent.
• Regularly check the lead of the power cord for damage. Have the power cord replaced if it is damaged or defective.
• Never attempt to remove or replace any parts other than those specified in this manual.

Using Your Appliance
• Indoor use only
• Not for use in industrial setting such as commercial kitchens, workshop, etc.
• Do NOT splash water on or immerse the appliance in water.
• Do NOT handle or operate with wet hands.
• Ensure that the voltage of this appliance corresponds to the voltage output of your power outlet.
• Never pull the lead of the power cord to disconnected the plug from the power source. Keep the power cord away from damage by sharp edges, heat, solvents (e.g. oil), etc.
• Be careful not to pinch the lead of the power cord in doors, window, etc.
• Keep the fan draught away from your eyes and face.
After Use
• Unplug the appliance from the electrical power outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
• Store the appliance in a dry place.
• Children should not have access to stored appliances

Indicators
During operation the control panel will be lit and indicate the following:
• Operation Status

Operation
Default Operation: Auto Mode
• Insert the power plug into the wall socket. When power is available the unit sounds a long “beep” and all available operation status indicators will be lit red for about 2 secs before going out again, with the exception of the indicator above the “” button which remains lit red.
• Press the “” button to switch on the default operation setting. The unit will beep, the air outlet louver will open and the fan will run at full speed for about 3 seconds and then switch automatically to low speed (Note: Do not force open or impede the movement of the air outlet louver or it may cause a malfunction) . By default the unit operates on Auto mode continuously and will not switch off until it is switched off manually or when the power is disconnected.

In Auto mode the fan speed is selected by the microprocessor according to the detected air quality. When air quality is poor, fan speed is raised automatically to increase the rate of air cleaning. Manual selection of the fan speed is disabled.

Note: The air quality sensor typically reacts to volatile organic components in smoke, solvents and certain odors.
Manual Mode & Other Operational Features
• Changing Fan Speed – The fan speed may only be changed in Manual mode. To change the fan speed, toggle to the manual mode first by pressing the “” button, then press the “” button on the control panel or on the remote controller. The fan speed cycles though Low-Med-High settings each time this is pressed. Note: In Manual mode the air cleaning rate is set entirely by the user and is not affected by the air quality detected by the sensor.

Activating Plasma – Press the “” button on the control panel or on the remote controller once to activate the “normal” plasma setting. The indicator above the “” button lights continuously.

For places with higher contaminant levels, select the ‘high’ plasma setting by pressing the “” button on the control panel twice or the “” above the “” button flashes when the ‘high’ plasma setting is active.

Note: The plasma option is only available in the NF8B model with Plasma and may be activated in both Auto and Manual modes.

• Setting the Timer – Activating this function in either Auto or Manual models automatically switches off the unit after a pre-set time. To set the operation timer to switch the unit off after 1 hour, press the “” button once. The indicator above the letter “1H” will light up. If longer durations are desired, repeatedly press the “” button to cycle through to the operation times up to 8 hours. After the elapsed time the unit will automatically switch off.

Switching Off
• To switch the appliance off manually, press the “” button on the control panel or on the remote controller.
• Allow the air outlet louver to automatically close as the appliance shuts down. If power is interrupted while the louver was closing, reconnect the power to allow it to fully close.
• If not switched off manually, the appliance automatically switches off after the default or set timing for operation has elapsed.

Usage Tips
ü Use the air purifier with the windows closed as outdoor air may continually introduce particles and other contaminants which diminish its effectiveness.
ü Air purifier may be placed anywhere in a room. However, for optimal air-cleaning efficiency, place the air purifier at least 330cm from the wall or object, where the air moves freely and circulates throughout the space in the room.

Cleaning & Maintenance
Caution: For safety always unplug unit from the electrical outlet before performing cleaning and maintenance activities.
Cleaning the Exterior
Clean the exterior of the equipment with a soft cloth moistened with water. If required a neutral detergent may be additional used. Ensure that the surfaces are dry before operating.
Do NOT use solvents (e.g. alcohol, thinner, benzene, etc.) to clean the exterior of the appliance.

Replacing the HEPA Filter
The appliance has a (a) HEPA compound filter which should be replaced from 6-12 months (under nominal usage in intended environments) to maintain filtration and purification efficiency. The life span of these filters may be shortened when used in environments with raised particulate or VOC concentrations outside of the nominal conditions.
To replace the filters, depress both release catches (b) for the front cover located at each side towards the bottom edge and pull the cover outwards and away. With the cover removed, pull on the fabric tabs of the old HEPA compound filter and replace the front cover.
Note: Removing the front cover releases a safety switch which automatically deactivates the unit so that operation without the front cover is not normally possible.
